Receiving Traffic Data Using a Traffic Receiver

NOTICE

Heated (metallized) windshields could degrade the performance of the traffic receiver.

A traffic receiver receives traffic data from an over-the-air broadcast signal, where available. An over-the-air inline traffic receiver is available as an accessory for some vehicles and product models. Go to your product page at garmin.com to find and purchase a compatible inline traffic receiver accessory.

  1. Connect the inline traffic receiver to your vehicle antenna plug and to the appropriate stereo inputs.

For more information about connecting the inline traffic receiver, see the wiring diagram included with the inline traffic receiver, and the installation instructions for your stereo. Go to garmin.com/manuals/rv-bbt600 to view manuals for your stereo and accessories.

  2. Select Settings > Traffic, and select the Traffic check box.

When you are within a traffic coverage area, your device can display traffic information and help you avoid traffic delays.
