If you do not know the purpose of a file, do not delete it. Your device memory contains important system files that should not be deleted.
When replacing the fuse, do not lose any of the small pieces and make sure they are put back in the proper position. The vehicle power cable does not work unless it is assembled correctly.
The permanent mounting adhesive is extremely difficult to remove after it is installed.
When your device is not in the motorcycle mount, use the weather cap to prevent damage to the connector.

Heated (metallized) windshields could degrade the performance of the traffic receiver.
Direct, sustained contact with the base plate, or any part of the motorcycle, may damage the mount over time. To prevent this kind of damage, you must place the mounting spacers between the mount and base plate, and make sure that no part of the device or mount touches the motorcycle.
Do not remove the inline fuse holder unless you are relocating it due to an extended run of the power cable. Connecting the device to power without the inline fuse could damage the device.

Alkaline batteries lose a significant amount of their capacity as the temperature decreases. Use lithium batteries when operating the device in below freezing conditions.
Do not attempt to use the device to charge a battery that was not provided by Garmin. Attempting to charge a battery that was not provided by Garmin can damage the device and void the warranty.

Do not place in high temperature environments, such as a clothes dryer.
Keep the leather band clean and dry. Avoid swimming or showering with the leather band. Exposure to water or sweat can damage or discolor the leather band. Use silicone bands as an alternative.

Do not wash the device under high pressure, because jets of water or air may cause damage to the depth sensor or barometer.
Discontinue use if the device is damaged or if it is stored at a temperature outside the specified storage temperature range.
