Syncing Data to Your Device Using the Garmin Messenger App

After making edits to your data, you must sync the changes to each affected device. The Garmin Messenger™ app supports GPSMAP® 66i and newer devices.

NOTE: An email address and password are required to sign in to the Garmin Messenger app.
  1. From the app store on your smartphone, install the Garmin Messenger app.
  2. Bring your smartphone within 10 m (33 ft.) of your device.
  3. Open the Garmin Messenger app, and sign in as the user assigned to the device.
  4. Use Bluetooth® technology to pair your device with the Garmin Messenger app.

    Changes made to data begin to sync automatically. Your device will be updated if a software update is available.
