Customizing the Map Layers
Downloading Outdoor Maps+ Content
Before you can download Outdoor Maps+ content, you must purchase an Outdoor Maps+ subscription. Go to garmin.com/outdoormaps for more information.
You must connect your device to Wi‑Fi® before you can download Outdoor Maps+ content (Connecting to a Wireless Network).
To see Outdoor Maps+ content on the map, you must download the content for a specific area.
Viewing the Map Key
Elements on each map layer are color-coded to represent different information. You can view the map key to see what each color represents.
Enabling Adventure Roads and Trails Map Layers
You can enable or disable map layers that display accessible or inaccessible roads for different types of motor vehicles.

Changing the Map Data Field

Changing the Map Perspective

Select an option:

Select Track Up to display the map in two dimensions (2-D), with your direction of travel at the top.

Select North Up to display the map in 2-D with north at the top.

Select 3-D to display the map in three dimensions.

Select Auto Zoom to Group to automatically adjust the zoom level so all riders in a group ride are visible on the map.
