My device is in recovery mode

Recovery mode options appear on the device when it cannot resolve a software issue.

Select one or more recovery mode options:
Recovery attempt Attempt Recovery

Attempt Recovery: This is the most common solution to repair a software issue. In most cases, you won't lose any activity data.

Help: You scan the QR code to access the latest troubleshooting information from Garmin® Product Support.

Recovery cancel activity Cancel Activity
Cancel Activity: If you are currently recording an activity, this cancels the activity.
NOTICE
The current activity data is deleted.
Recovery delete maps Delete Maps

Delete Maps: Removes the maps from the device.

NOTICE

This deletes the map files from your device. When you have access to your computer, you can use the Garmin Express™ application to restore the map files.

Recovery computer plug Connect to Computer

Connect to Computer: When you have access to your computer, you can use the Garmin Express application to update the software.

Recovery factory reset Factory Reset

Factory Reset: Restores the device to the factory defaults.

NOTICE
This deletes all user data, settings, and pairing information. Any data that has been synced to your Garmin Connect™ account can be restored.
Power off Power Off

Power Off: Turns the device off.
