Setting the Bike Alarm

You can turn on the bike alarm when you are away from your bike, such as on a stop during a long ride. You can control the bike alarm from your bike computer or the device settings in the Garmin Connect™ app.

  1. On the Edge® bike computer, select an option:
    • Select Menu symbol > Settings > Safety & Tracking > Bike Alarm.
    • Swipe down from the top of the screen, and select Bike alarm symbol from the status widget.
  2. Select Set Passcode.
    NOTE: You must set a passcode to enable the bike alarm.
  3. Enter the 4-digit passcode, and select Checkmark symbol twice.
  4. To set the bike alarm, swipe down from the top of the screen, and on the status widget, select Bike alarm symbol.

    If the device detects motion, it sounds an alarm and sends an alert to your connected phone.

To turn off the bike alarm from your Edge bike computer, you are prompted to enter the passcode.

Disabling the Bike Alarm

Select Menu symbol > Settings > Safety & Tracking > Bike Alarm > Clear Passcode > Checkmark symbol.
