The stereo updates successfully, but a Garmin lighting controller does not
If you are trying to update the stereo and a Garmin® lighting controller, or to update only a Garmin lighting controller and the software update does not complete successfully, perform these steps.
- Make sure you downloaded the Entertainment Package version of the update file from the Garmin website. Only the Entertainment Package updates a Garmin lighting controller, as the stereo update file updates only the stereo.
- Make sure the stereo is connected to the same NMEA 2000® network as the Garmin lighting controller. The stereo communicates with the lighting controller over the NMEA 2000 network only.
- Make sure the NMEA 2000 network and the Garmin lighting controller are both receiving power and functioning properly before starting the update.
