Getting Started
When using your inReach® satellite communicator the first time, you should complete these tasks to set it up and get to know the basic features.

Press
to turn on the satellite communicator.
- Select your language.
- Download the Garmin Messenger™ app to your smartphone, and follow the on-screen instructions to pair and activate your satellite communicator (Pairing Your Phone and Activating the Device).
- Sync your satellite communicator with the Garmin Messenger app (Syncing inReach Data).
- Test your satellite communicator before you begin your trip (Testing the Device).
