Spy Pole Options and Settings

You can configure the options and settings for a connected Spy Pole™ mount, such as setting actions for the gesture remote or foot control and calibrating the heading sensor.

To open the Spy Pole™ settings, you must first add the Spy™ Pole control bar to a screen. To view the settings, from the Spy™ Pole control bar, select Menu button .
NOTE: When the chartplotter first detects a new Spy Pole™ connection, you are prompted to begin a setup wizard that allows you to set these configuration options and calibrate the heading sensor. You can use the settings in this menu at any time to update the Spy Pole™ configuration or calibrate the heading sensor again.
SpyScan™

Starts and stops SpyScan™ search mode. Select Menu button to configure various SpyScan settings such as the angle, direction, and speed (SpyScan Search Mode).

SpyLink™

Starts and stops SpyLink™ synchronization with a connected Garmin® trolling motor (SpyLink Synchronization).

Auto SpyLock™

Starts and stops the automatic SpyLock™ point locking. Select Menu button to adjust the range of this feature ( SpyLock Feature).

Gesture Remote

Sets the actions associated with the buttons on a connected gesture remote.

Spy™ Foot Control

Sets the actions associated with the buttons on a connected Spy Pole™ foot control.

Set Pole Name

Sets the name for this Spy Pole™ mount. This is helpful when you have more than one Spy Pole™ mount connected to the same Garmin BlueNet™ or Garmin Marine Network.

Installation > Transducer Auto Park

Sets the side to turn and park the Spy Pole™ mount when it is stowed.

Installation > Setup Wizard

Re-runs the Spy Pole™ setup wizard.

Installation > Calibrate

Sets individual calibration values independent of the setup wizard (Configuring a Spy Pole Mount).

Installation > Connected Transducers

Sets the transducer or transducers installed on the Spy Pole™ mount. If you have more than one transducer installed on the Spy Pole™ mount, you can set the primary transducer used for functions such as the automatic SpyLock feature.

Installation > Auto Power On

Sets the power-on behavior for the Spy Pole™ mount. By default, the Spy Pole™ mount turns on automatically when it receives power. You can change this so you must manually press Power button to turn it on.

Installation > Auto Power Off

Sets the automatic power-off behavior for the Spy Pole™ mount. By default, the Spy Pole™ mount turns off automatically when stowed after two hours of inactivity. You can change this so the Spy Pole™ mount stays on indefinitely when stowed.

Installation > Restore Defaults

Restores the Spy Pole™ default settings, but does not remove calibration data or pairing data.

Installation > Factory Defaults

Restores the Spy Pole™ factory-default settings, including calibration data. Also removes any pairing data with a chartplotter and other peripheral devices.

Installation > Diagnostics

Opens a page to show diagnostic information for a connected Spy Pole™ mount. You may need this information for troubleshooting or when working with Garmin product support.
