Changing the Altitude Reference

When operating in Altitude Hold Mode, the Altitude Reference can be adjusted in the following ways:

  • The altitude reference can be adjusted in 10 feet increments using the Higher Alt Button or Lower Alt Button in the AFCS window.

  • Use the UP/DN Wheel on the AFCS Mode Controller. Using this method, up to 200 feet of altitude change can be commanded.

To change the Altitude Reference by more the 200 feet, climb/descend using another vertical mode (PIT, VS) to capture the desired Selected Altitude.
