Changing the Vertical Speed Mode
The Vertical Speed Reference may be adjusted in the following ways:

Touch the AFCS status box to open the AFCS Control window, touch the VS Button and then the Nose Up Button/Nose Down Button to adjust the vertical speed.

Use the UP/DN Wheel on the AFCS Mode Controller.
The vertical speed reference can only be adjusted in increments of 100 fpm. The current Vertical Speed Reference is displayed in the AFCS Status Box for 10 seconds after a change is made and as a reference bug on the Vertical Speed Indicator.
