Satellite Settings

You can change the GNSS satellite setting to customize the accuracy and battery usage used for each activity. Each satellite mode enables SatIQ™ technology to dynamically select the satellite systems that meet your desired accuracy and battery needs.

From the watch face, press Upper-right button, select Activities, select an activity, scroll down and select the activity settings, and select Satellites.

NOTE: This feature is not available for all activities.
Off

Disables GNSS satellite systems for the activity.

Use Default

Enables the watch to use the default activity focus mode setting for GNSS satellites (Customizing a Default Focus Mode).

Max Accuracy

Prioritizes maximum positioning accuracy while reducing battery life. This setting provides increased performance in challenging environments for short-duration activities.

Normal

Balances average positioning accuracy and average battery life. This setting provides the best positioning accuracy while still prioritizing battery life.

Extended Battery

Balances above-average battery life and below-average positioning accuracy. This setting provides the best battery life while still prioritizing positioning accuracy.

Max Battery

Prioritizes maximum battery life while reducing positioning accuracy. This setting records track points and sensor data less frequently for long-duration activities.
