Safety and Tracking Features
The safety and tracking features available through the Garmin Connect™ app are supplemental features and should not be relied on as a primary method to obtain emergency assistance. The Garmin Connect app does not contact emergency services on your behalf.
Fall detection is not available when the watch is in wheelchair mode.
To use the safety and tracking features, your Venu® watch must be connected to the Garmin Connect app using Bluetooth® technology. Your paired phone must be equipped with a data plan and be in an area of network coverage where data is available. You can enter assistance contacts in your Garmin Connect account.

Assistance
-
When you request assistance, the watch sends a message with your name, LiveTrack link, and GPS location (if available) to your assistance contacts (Requesting Assistance).
- Fall Detection
-
When the watch detects a possible fall, the watch sounds an alert and sends a message to your assistance contacts. You can enable continuous fall detection throughout the day, or during certain activities (Turning Fall Detection On and Off).
NOTE: Enabling fall detection decreases battery life. LiveTrack
-
Sends a web page link to friends and family to follow your races and training activities in real time. You can use the Garmin Connect app to invite followers using email or social media, allowing them to view your live data.
