Update Options
Do not turn off the device or disconnect the power during a software update. Turning off the power during a software update may cause the device to become unresponsive.
Depending on your stereo and network connections, you may have multiple software-update options available. Before proceeding with an update, you should examine your devices and connections to determine the most efficient way to proceed (Software Updates).
- The device may restart a few times when updating. This is normal.
- You can program only newer versions of software on the device.
Select
> SETTINGS > UPDATE.

Updates the stereo using a valid software update file on a connected USB flash drive (Updating the Software Using a USB Flash Drive).

Updates an optional NRX remote connected to the NMEA 2000 port or NMEA 2000® network.

Updates an optional ERX remote connected to the ETHERNET port or the Fusion PartyBus™ network using a valid software update file on a connected USB flash drive (Updating the Software Using a USB Flash Drive).
- SAVE GARMIN DEVICES

Saves connected device information to a connected USB flash drive. This information is required by the Garmin Express™ program when preparing the USB flash drive with the proper software update files.
- FACTORY RESET

Resets default settings.
