Creating Timing Gates

Before you can create timing gates, you must acquire satellite signals and be physically at the location where you want to set your gate (Acquiring Satellite Signals).

In addition to the starting gate, you can create up to 10 timing gates in each series.

Select Training > Timing Gates > Create Timing Gate Series.
Select Walking or Riding to set how you are creating the timing gates.

If walking, follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the compass.
Hold .
Point the on-screen arrow in the direction of travel, and select .
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to set all of the gates in the series.

TIP: Press to pan and zoom the map.
Press .
Select an option:
- Select Delete Last Gate to delete the previously placed gate.
- Select Save Series to finish creating timing gates and save the current timing gate series.
  
  TIP: Follow the on-screen instructions to name the gate series.
- Select Exit and Discard Series to delete all of the timing gates created for this series.
- Select Continue Creating Gates to return to the map and create additional gates in the series.
