Scheduled Messages
The scheduled messages feature can be used to enter and display reminder messages (e.g., contact FBO, check fuel, etc.) on the 'Messages' Window with an associated flashing System Button. The following 'Types' of messages can be created:
-
Scheduled Event - A message displayed based on a specific time and date.
-
One - Time - A message that is created when the timer reaches zero one time.
-
Periodic - A reoccurring message that is created every time the countdown timer reaches zero.
-
Fuel Reminder - A reoccurring timer that alerts the pilot after a specified amount of fuel has been used.
-
Distance Before Waypoint - A message that is created when the aircraft is a specific distance from a waypoint.
-
Time Before Waypoint - A message that is created when the aircraft is a specific time from a waypoint.
-
Passing Waypoint - A message that is created when passing a waypoint.
All saved messages are retained through power cycles until they have been deleted. Event messages that are triggered while the system is powered off will be displayed on the next power cycle. The maximum amount of messages that can be created by the pilot is 30.

A 'SCHEDULED MESSAGE' alert is displayed below the HSI upon expiration of a created message. Touching the 'SCHEDULED MESSAGE' acknowledges the message, indicated by the removal of the message annunciation on the PFW. If more than one scheduled message triggers before dismissing the alert on the PFW, the messages will be displayed in the order they have expired. After creating a scheduled message, it can be started, stopped, reset, edited, and deleted from the 'Messages' Window.
