The system obtains the current Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) date and time directly from the GPS satellite signals. System time (displayed in the below the HSI on the PFD) can be displayed in three formats: UTC, Local, or Manual. Local and Manual time modes are able to be displayed in either 12 hour or 24 hour format. Manual time is set by adding/subtracting an offset (hours:minutes) to/from UTC.
