The pilot may adjust the computed "Look-Ahead Time" of the system to reduce the amount if nuisance alerts that may populate while flying low or near obstacles. The look-ahead time determines the maximum time when an alert annunciation occurs. For example, if 60 seconds is selected, AXIS™ flight display provides an alert up to 60 seconds before you reach the terrain or obstacle. The user can select 30s or 60s, if normal mode editing is configured on.
