The GDL^® 50 (a Satellite Datalink Receiver) is a portable transponder unit that receives ADS-B In data and delivers real-time weather and traffic information to the AXIS™ flight display(s) and compatible EFB's. The GDL 50R is a remote mounted option that provides the same Datalink functionality.

It receives dual-band ADS-B traffic (978 UAT and 1090 ES) and subscription-free FIS-B weather, including radar, METARs, TAFs, NOTAMs, and winds aloft.
