Using a Localizer Approach using the FMS as the navigation source:

  1. Ensure that FMS is the selected navigation source.
  2. Ensure a localizer-based approach (i.e., LOC, ILS, LDA, SDF) is loaded into the active flight plan.
  3. Ensure the corresponding LOC frequency is tuned.
  4. Press the APR Key on the AFCS Mode Controller or touch the APR Button in the AFCS Control Window.
