Predicting RAIM Availability:

NOTICE
Navigation of procedures by the pilot may be completed by using the touch screen features, softkeys on the bezel, and/or the Dual Concentric Knobs on the AXIS™ flight display(s). Unless otherwise noted, most procedures are written to utilize the touchscreen feature but may also be navigated by using the softkeys and Dual Concentric Knobs for redundancy in the case of a touch screen failure.
  1. Navigate to the 'Apps' window by pressing the MENU Softkey two times.

    Touch the Applications Icon on the Applications Bar.

  2. Touch the Settings & Tools Tab.
  3. Touch the Sensors Button.
  4. On the 'Sensors FMS Position Page' scroll, if necessary, to a GPS position sensor and select it.
    NOTICE
    Due to the nature of the VFR GPS position sensor being incapable to provide IFR guidance capabilities, it will be unable to predict RAIM coverage.
  5. At the top of the 'GPS (#) Sensor Status' page touch the RAIM Prediction Button.
  6. Touch the Location Selection Button to select between Waypoint or P POS.
    1. If Waypoint is selected touch the Waypoint Identifier Datafield Button. Use the alphanumeric keypad or the Find Button to enter a waypoint identifier.
  7. Touch the Arrival Time Datafield Button. Use the numeric keypad to enter an arrival time and touch the Enter Button.
  8. Touch the Arrival Date Datafield Button. Use the calendar selection window to enter an arrival date.
  9. Touch the Compute RAIM Button. Under 'RAIM Status' on the 'RAIM Prediction' page "Computing" will be displayed. When the computation is complete, either "Available" or "Unavailable" will be displayed.
