Timers

A System Timer for measuring arbitrary things is displayed at the bottom of the display and is also an indicator button for accessing the 'Quick Timer' window. If no timer is set "--:--:--" appears in the place of the indicator button. This window can also be accessed using the MENU Softkey on the PFW (PFW side of the bezel in split-screen mode). If more than one AXIS™ flight display is installed, the 'Quick Timer' may be accessed on any display.

The timer can be set to measure elapsed time counting up from zero, or set to measure remaining time of a count down timer. If the crew creates a countdown timer the system will generate a message in the 'Messages' Window, notifying the crew that the timer has expired with a flashing "System" Button. The countdown timer will begin to count up in cyan after expiring. Every time the countdown timer expires using the System Timer the pilot will need to edit a new countdown.

User Timers can also be created and saved to allow for notifications to populate for any recurring event. After creating a User Timer, it can be started, stopped, reset, edited, and deleted from the 'Messages' Window in the 'Timers & MSG' tab. The maximum amount of timers that can be created by the pilot is 30.
