Using Lean Assist Mode:

  1. On the MFW:
    1. Touch the Engine icon on the App Bar.
    Or:
    1. Touch the Applications Icon > Primary Tab > Engine.
    Or:
    1. Use the Outer DCK (on the MFW side of the PFD while in split screen mode) to select the Engine application.
  2. Touch the Mode Button and select Lean.
  3. Before starting the procedure or after the Reset Button has been pressed the ∆EGT (or ∆TIT if configured) will indicate a "- - -". Begin leaning the fuel mixture. As the fuel mixture is leaned, the EGT will begin to rise. After the system detects the EGT peak the ∆EGT will be displayed below each cylinder. (If ∆TIT is configured, the delta will be displayed as a hollow pentagram for each engine.)
  4. Using the last cylinder to peak, continue to lean the fuel mixture until the proper operating temperature from peak is achieved.

    Or:

    Using the first engine cylinder to peak, enrich the fuel mixture until the proper operating temperature from peak is achieved.
