The GTX™ 335 operates as a Mode S Extended Squitter (ES) transponder that transmits ADS-B Out on 1090 MHz. It broadcasts aircraft identity, altitude, position, velocity, and heading to ATC and other aircraft using a WAAS GPS source.

The GTX 335R is a remote mounted version of the GTX 335 providing the same functionality but controlled using the AXIS™ flight display interface.
