If temperature compensation has been applied, a snowflake symbol will also be displayed for all waypoints encompassing the approach. See the Temperature Compensation discussion later in this section for information on setting approach barometric and temperature compensated minimums.

METAR information can also be used to display a ceiling/visibility on the VSD. See the Hazard Avoidance Section for more information.
