VOR/LOC Identification
From the CNS Audio Button, Radios Button, selecting the NAV1 Button or NAV2 Button will enable that nav station’s audio. It will be heard on the pilot headset and the pilot speaker, if the speaker is on. The volume can be adjusted to hear the Morse code identifier.
If enabled, and the Copilot Audio Button is selected from the copilot position, selecting the NAV1 Button or NAV2 Button will enable that nav station’s audio from the copilot’s headset/speaker. The volume can be adjusted to hear the Morse code identifier.
The pilot can enable the system to identify the station automatically by using the ID Annunciation Button in the NAV 'Standby' Window. Touching the ID Annunciation Button decodes the Morse code signal. Touching the ID Annunciation Button allows station identification without listening to the Morse code. A white ‘ID’ is displayed in the NAV radio button on the CNS Bar and the identifier of the nav signal will be displayed in green after the system identifies the stations signal. Touching the ID Annunciation Button again deactivates the Morse code decoding feature.
