Standard music distribution offers a simplified music experience where all aircraft positions (Pilot, Co-Pilot, Passengers) would be listening to the same music source with the same volume settings. With standard music distribution, the user can select either the wired aux music source or BT music source. With a GMA 245, users control volume via knobs on the GMA 245. With a GMA 245R, volume control is done using the AXIS flight display.
