Engine Indication System (EIS) and Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) LRU's

Multiple EIS and FADEC systems may interface with the AXIS™ flight display. These LRU's monitor engine perimeters and process the information to be displayed as gauges, annunciations, and other graphical depictions on the PFD, MFD or both (depending on configuration). For information on EIS/FADEC refer to the appropriate manual, and for more information on the EIS display for the AXIS refer to the EIS chapter in this pilot's guide.

The following LRU's are compatible with the AXIS flight display:

  • GEA 24/24B - An engine indication system that requires communication using the CAN Bus and may also (optionally) communicate with the system via RS-232 for redundancy in the EIS datapath.
  • GSU 73 - An engine indication system that requires communication using the CAN Bus.
  • GEA 110 - An engine indication system that requires using the RS-485 for communication with the system. At least one GDU 116C/NC must be installed on the aircraft for the system to display the data from the GEA 110.

The following are third party FADEC compatible LRU's that allow for the engine indications to be displayed on the AXIS:

  • Rotax 91X iS
  • Lycoming ie2
  • UL Power
