Changing the Units of Measure

  1. Select an option:
    • To change the units of measure during a session, press OK, and select UNITS.

    • To change the units of measure outside of a session, select SETTINGS > UNITS.

  2. Select a unit of measure, and press OK.

Changing the Display Color

  1. Select an option:
    • To change the display color during a session, press OK, and select DISPLAY COLOR.

    • To change the display color outside of a session, select SETTINGS > DISPLAY SETTINGS > DISPLAY COLOR.

  2. Press OK to cycle through the color options.

Changing the Backlight Brightness

  1. Select an option:
    • To change the backlight brightness during a session, press OK, and select BACKLIGHT.

    • To change the backlight brightness outside of a session, select SETTINGS > DISPLAY SETTINGS > BACKLIGHT.

  2. Press OK to cycle through the brightness levels.

Changing the Backlight Timeout

The backlight timeout setting sets how long the screen backlight stays on after a period of inactivity.

  1. Select an option:
    • To change the backlight timeout during a session, press OK, and select BACKLIGHT TIMEOUT.

    • To change the backlight timeout outside of a session, select SETTINGS > DISPLAY SETTINGS > BACKLIGHT TIMEOUT.

  2. Press OK to cycle through the time intervals.

Enabling Projectile Weight Entry

You can enter your projectile weight to calculate the kinetic energy and power factor of your projectile.

Select SETTINGS > PROJECTILE WEIGHT ENTRY.
Each time you start a new session, you are prompted to enter the weight of the projectile you are using.

Enabling Downrange Mode

WARNING

When placing or adjusting the device in downrange mode, remain aware of your surroundings and follow any applicable safety protocols associated with the area in which you are shooting. Failure to do so could cause property damage, serious personal injury, or death.

NOTICE

Use of this device in downrange mode could result in possible property damage due to your shooting activities or the shooting activities of others. Garmin® claims no responsibility for and does not warranty such property damage.

Downrange mode sets the screen to flash five times after the chronograph detects a shot. When you are using the device to track velocity downrange, this feature can help improve your awareness of when the chronograph detects a shot.

Select SETTINGS > DOWNRANGE MODE.

Changing the Device Language

  1. Select SETTINGS > LANGUAGE.
  2. Select a language.

You can view device tips about how to use some chronograph features.

  1. Select SETTINGS > DEVICE TIPS.
  2. Select a topic.

Connectivity Settings

Select SETTINGS > CONNECTIVITY.

BLUETOOTH
Enables or disables Bluetooth® technology.
PAIR PHONE
Enables you to pair your Xero® C2 chronograph with the ShotView™ app on your phone (Pairing Your Smartphone).
PAIR GARMIN WATCH
Enables you to pair your chronograph with a compatible Garmin watch (Pairing a Garmin Watch).
FORGET ALL PAIRED DEVICES
Removes all connected phones and watches from the list of paired devices. This option is available only after a phone or watch is paired.

Resetting Data and Settings

The chronograph offers options for deleting your user data and resetting all settings to the factory default values.

NOTE: If you clear data from the chronograph after you sync with the ShotView app, the data will not be deleted from the app.
  1. Select SETTINGS > RESET.
  2. Select an option:
    • To delete all of your recorded sessions from the chronograph, select CLEAR ALL SESSIONS.

    • To reset all settings to factory default values and delete all user data and sessions, select FACTORY RESET.

  3. Select YES.

Setting a Device Passcode

NOTICE

If you enter your passcode incorrectly three times, the device locks temporarily. After five incorrect attempts, the device deletes your data and resets to the factory default settings.

You can set up a device passcode to prevent unauthorized users from using your device. Once enabled, you must enter the passcode immediately after you turn on the device.

  1. Select SETTINGS > DEVICE PASSCODE.
  2. Enable the PASSCODE option.
  3. Enter a four-digit passcode, and select CONFIRM.

Changing Your Device Passcode

You must know your existing device passcode to change it. If you enter your passcode incorrectly three times, the device locks temporarily. After five incorrect attempts, the device deletes your data and resets to the factory default settings.

  1. Select SETTINGS > DEVICE PASSCODE.
  2. Enter your current four-digit passcode.
  3. Select CHANGE PASSCODE.
  4. Enter your current four-digit passcode.
  5. Enter a new four-digit passcode.

Deleting Your Device Passcode

NOTICE

You must know your existing device passcode to delete it. If you enter your passcode incorrectly three times, the device locks temporarily. After five incorrect attempts, the device deletes your data and resets to the factory default settings.

  1. Select SETTINGS > DEVICE PASSCODE.
  2. Enter your current four-digit passcode.
  3. Select DELETE PASSCODE.
  4. Enter your current four-digit passcode.
The device deletes the passcode and turns off the PASSCODE option.
