Turning on the Security and Location Alarm
The OnDeck™ alarm notifications feature is supplemental and should not be relied upon as a primary method to monitor your vessel. The functionality, reliability, and timeliness of the alarm notifications depend on a number of factors that are beyond Garmin®'s control, including but not limited to cellular connectivity/reception and device power.
You should arm the Security and Location Alarm when you leave your vessel.
- From the ActiveCaptain® app, select Boat Apps and select the Sensors tab.
- Select Security Sensor.
- Under Alarms, select Security Sensor.
When the security features are armed, you will receive a notification if the security sensor is triggered.
When you return to your vessel, you should disarm the security features by selecting Security Sensor again to turn it off.
