Adjusting the Wind Gain Setting

The wind gain setting sets how the autopilot responds when in Apparent Wind Hold or True Wind Hold. The higher you set the wind gain, the more the autopilot reacts to changes in the wind.

  1. From the autopilot screen, select Menu icon > Autopilot Setup > Sailing Setup > Wind Gain.
  2. Adjust the Wind Gain value.
    NOTICE

    If you set this value too high, the autopilot may be overactive and attempt to constantly adjust the heading at the slightest deviation. An overactive autopilot can drain the battery at a faster-than-normal rate.
