Maximizing Battery Life

You can do several things to extend the battery life.

• Reduce the screen brightness (Display and Brightness Settings).
• Reduce the length of time before the backlight turns off (Display and Brightness Settings).
• Turn off the screen automatically when the backlight times out (Display and Brightness Settings).
• Reduce the flashlight brightness (Using the Flashlight).
• Turn off wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi® Settings).
• Turn off Bluetooth® technology (Bluetooth® Settings).
• Turn off additional satellite systems (Satellite Settings).
• Use Low Power messaging mode on your GPSMAP H1i Plus satellite communicator (Messenger App Settings).
• Reduce the frequency of the Send Interval tracking setting on your GPSMAP H1i Plus satellite communicator (inReach Tracking Setup).
