Fixing a Device in Recovery Mode
Recovery mode options appear on the device when it cannot resolve a software issue.
Select one or more recovery mode options:

Attempt Recovery: This is the most common solution to repair a software issue. In most cases, you won’t lose any activity data. |

|
Help: You scan the QR code to access the latest troubleshooting information from Garmin Product Support. |
|
|
Cancel Activity: If you are currently recording an activity, this cancels the activity. NOTICE The current activity data is deleted. |
|
|
Delete Maps: Removes the maps from the device. NOTICE This deletes the map files from your device. When you have access to your computer, you can use the Garmin Express application to restore the map files. |
|
|
Connect to Computer: When you have access to your computer, you can use the Garmin Express application to update the software. |
|
|
Factory Reset: Restores the device to the factory defaults. NOTICE This deletes all user data, settings, and pairing information. Any data that has been synced to your Garmin Connect account can be restored. |
|
|
Power Off: Turns the device off. |
