A profile is a collection of device settings and configurations that can be assigned to groups of users. Profiles provide consistency by creating a common user interface for all devices in a group that are assigned to the same profile. Group profile settings override the users' configuration settings. Each device must be synced before it can receive profile changes.

You can configure these device settings using profiles.

• Home screen icons can be added, removed, and reordered. For example, you can remove the weather icon.

  NOTE: This option is available only for these devices:

  • inReach Explorer^® and inReach Explorer+
  • inReach SE^® and inReach SE+
  • Some legacy inReach^® devices

• Device settings can be modified, such as tracking and logging intervals.

  NOTE: You must confirm you have selected the correct device type before you modify the settings. The settings table displays different settings based on the selected device type.

• Preset messages can be added or changed, including recipients and message content.

• Quick text messages can be added or changed.

• Synced maps can be customized. You can configure which maps should be synced to the devices.

  NOTE: This option is not available for all device models.
