During an emergency, a user can send an SOS from their device. By default, the SOS text message is sent to the Garmin^® International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC), and they notify the appropriate emergency responders of the situation. The SOS includes the device's current location. Professional accounts offer several options for customizing the SOS setup, including adding contacts to receive an alert in the event of an SOS, and sending additional information to the Garmin IERCC along with the SOS data.
