Installation Instructions
- A maximum size 32GB SD card, formatted to FAT32, with 2GB of free space is needed for this update.
- Click on 'Download' and choose to save the file to your computer.
- Choose a location where you can easily find the file, such as the 'My Documents' folder or 'C:\'.
- Once the download is complete, go to the location where you saved the file.
- Extract the contents of the zip file to the root directory of your SD card.
- Power on the chartplotters on the Garmin Marine Network.
- Insert the card into the card slot of a device on the Garmin Marine Network. Dismiss the window that is automatically displayed. If you do not have a device with a card slot, please see your dealer.
- Select the Video function and select the GC 200 you wish to update as the Video Source.
- Select Menu and select Video Setup to bring up the video setup menu.
- Select Update Software and follow the on screen instructions. If the Update Software button is not available, the selected GC 200 is already up to date.
- The GC 200 will reboot when the software update is complete. The MFD will either show a Software Update Complete message box, or the menu will show Source Unavailable while the camera is rebooting.
- Dismiss the 'Software Update Complete' message box if it is displayed, then wait for live video from the camera to be displayed.
- If the chartplotter displays 'Update Failed', the GC 200 does not fall within the serial number range that requires this update.
- After installation is complete, you can update other GC 200 cameras in the system by repeating steps 8-13.
