Notes:

• This is the service bulletin document only
• G3X Touch (GDU 4XX)
  The G3X Touch requires V6.20 or later software to display and support autopilot coupling for VNAV guidance provided by the GTN V6.50 or later software. The GTN GPS ARINC 429 output will need to be changed from 'GAMA FORMAT 1' to 'GARMIN 429' when GTN V6.50 or later software is used with G3X Touch V6.20 or later software to allow the new VNAV capability to work.
• G3X (GDU 37X)
  The G3X requires V11.80 or later software to display the new VNAV guidance provided by the GTN V6.50 or later software. The GTN GPS ARINC 429 output will need to be changed from 'GAMA FORMAT 1' to 'GARMIN 429' when GTN V6.50 or later software is used with G3X V11.80 or later software to allow the new VNAV capability to work.

Installation Instructions

1. The application requires Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 10. Mac computers are not supported.
2. Download Software Version 3353.0D (006-B3353-0D).
3. Make sure an SD card reader is connected to the PC.
4. Put the GTN Downloadable Software SD Card (010-01000-00) in the card reader.
5. Run the executable file that was downloaded in Step 2.
6. Follow the onscreen prompts to create a software loader card.
7. Select Finish to complete the process.
8. Eject the card from the card reader. The software loader card is now ready to use.
