Change History
Changes made from version 12.00 to 14.00:
- Added the Dive Setup > No Fly setting, to allow choosing between DAN's no-fly guidance and the previous flat 24-hour timer.
- Added a new page to the Surface Interval widget to allow seeing detailed no-fly information, including when the timer will expire.
- Dive logs can now be deleted like other activities. Deleting a dive may cause dive numbers to get out of sync until the next sync with Connect.
- Updated to include changes from fenix 5X through version 25.00: https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=11429
Changes made from version 10.40 to 12.00:
- [IN-DIVE CHANGE] Added the current gas to the Switch Gas list, with a checkmark to indicate it’s the active gas
- Swapped the positions of OTU and N2/He load on the Surface Interval widget
- Renamed Bottom Time to Dive Time in the dive log. This update will occur in Garmin Dive/Connect in the future as well
- Fixed an issue where a dive alert that was active when a dive saved wouldn’t get cleared correctly and could appear the next dive
- Fixed an issue with the update rate of the altitude barometer that could cause stair-stepped elevation graphs
- Fixed a potential battery drain issue after disconnecting an inReach device
- Fixed average depth in Gauge mode failing to update, if the watch was rebooted mid-dive
- Fixed an issue with Connect IQ menus with dynamic numbers of items
- Updated to include changes from fenix 5X through version 21.00: https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=11429

- Fixes ascent rate being calculated incorrectly when updating at a rate faster than once per second, such as in Apnea activities.
- Fixes how Bottom Time is rounded in the dive log details to match the Garmin Dive app.
Changes made from version 10.10 to 10.20:
- Fixed display issue with disclaimer text
Changes made from version 8.00 to 10.10:
- IN-DIVE CHANGE: Changed the behavior of dive compass Set to Recip., Set to 90L, and Set to 90R to set the new heading offset from the original heading instead of the current heading.

- IN-DIVE CHANGE: Added “Bail-out to Diluent” option if no open-circuit cases are set up in a CCR dive.
- IN-DIVE CHANGE: Fixed an issue where, in a CCR dive, the PO2 was being incorrectly calculated as the maximum of the diluent's PO2 or the current setpoint. This error could occur when diving in a situation where a diluent flush would actually raise the PO2 of the loop.
- IN-DIVE CHANGE: In the CCR app, the current PO2 value will now blink yellow if the diluent PO2 is below 0.18.
- Added a setting to enable the UP key while in-dive (Dive Setup > UP Key).
- Added the ability to set an initial surface interval when computing NDL in the Plan Dive app.
- Added Fenix 5X improvements from software version 13.30 to 19.10 - https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=11429
- Increased the maximum number of apps from 40 to 60.
- Improved the power-on check page to give more useful information.
- Fixed an issue where changing the tap-to-scroll setting wouldn't take effect if changed from a dive pre-check.
- Fixed an issue where setting up the device by pairing with Connect wouldn't respect the Connect account's metric/statute setting.
- Fixed showing the Save Waypoint menu for non-dive activities.
- Fixed the depth graph's x-axis to include surface time - this is most obvious on Apnea activities.
- Fixed showing bad data in the Dive Log for Apnea dives when trued up from Connect.
- Fixed an issue where the device was displaying incorrect time for Brazil within the Alternate Time Zones widget.
- Brought in CIQ security updates.
Changes made from version 6.00 to 8.00:
- Fixed not being able to select a CCR setpoint ending in .00
- Fixed the dive compass menu to respect the true/magnetic north setting
- Improved source for all temperature readings
- Added Fenix 5X improvements between software version 10.20 to 13.30 - https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=11429

- Added the ability to edit some settings during a dive. These settings include: De4co P02, Conservatism, Setpoints (in the CCR app)
- Added the ability to add new gas mixes during a dive
- Improved the consistency of the compass and time-of-day dive screens by flipping the positions of NDL/TTS and Depth to match the main dive screen.
- Fixed an Apnea issue introduced in 4.00 where the faster depth updates were not reflected in the ascent/descent rate
- Added a new in-dive menu that replaces the Backup Gas menu (in the Single-Gas app) and the Switch Gas menu (in the Multi-Gas app)
- Added new breathing gas management system
- Added Pool Mode
- Added the ability to save a dive's Entry and Exit points (if known) as saved locations. In the dive log, choose a dive and select Save Location.
- Added the ability to edit the Apnea surface interval alert while on the surface interval pages.
- Added the minimum temperature of the last dive to the main Apnea surface interval page.
- Improved Navigate app when navigating to a saved dive activity. You now have the option of navigating to either the entry or exit point, if available.
- Improved Conservatism menu to show the gradient factors of the quick settings (low/medium/high).
- Improved the dive log to show Time In and Time Out
- Fixed a potential issue where switching from At Depth to Always On backlight via the dive pre-check might not take effect until the next dive

Changes made from version 2.60 to 4.00:
- IN-DIVE CHANGE: Improved NDL to show as '99+' instead of '--:--' when greater than 99:59.
- IN-DIVE CHANGE: Improved metric depth display when over 100m to show without a decimal point.
- IN-DIVE CHANGE: Improved Apnea and Apnea Hunt apps to update the depth display more quickly (4x/second).
- IN-DIVE CHANGE: Improved behavior of safety stops:
- ** Previously, the safety stop timer started counting down at 15 feet. This has been changed to 20 feet (6m).
- ** Previously, the safety stop timer continued counting down while in the range of 10-20 feet. This has been expanded to 7-23 feet (2-7m)
- ** Previously, the watch would require a return to the start depth (15 feet) to resume a paused safety stop timer. This requirement has been removed.
- ** Previously, if NDL was surpassed while below 35 feet, the watch would cancel the safety stop in favor of normal decompression stops. Now, if the deco commitment is cleared prior to ascending to 23 feet (7m), there will still be a safety stop scheduled for 20 feet (6m).
- ** Previously, the watch showed the 'Safety stop started!' popup every time the safety stop timer resumed counting down. It will now only show the first time.
- IN-DIVE CHANGE: Disabled vibration for Apnea Hunt app.
- Added travel gas setting for Multi-Gas app. If more than one gas is Enabled, you can choose a travel gas. This is the default gas used when starting a multi-gas dive and is indicated by a downward angled arrow on the Multi-Gas precheck. This does not affect other dive apps.
- Added list of gas switches to dive log entries.
- Added ability to turn off surface GPS per dive type. This can be used to save battery when diving indoors, for example. This setting is located at Settings > Activities & Apps > (Dive App) > (Dive App) Settings > GPS.
- Added ability to set Deco PO2 up to 2.00. Please dive within your limits.
- Added support for manual calibration of the Barometer. (Settings > Sensors & Accessories > Barometer > Calibrate).
- Added support for Hourly Alerts. (Settings > System > Time > Alerts > Hourly).
- Improved dive planner to explicitly list the descent stage. It will also use the new travel gas setting, if set.
- Improved dive planner to show steps in red if the gas mix is over its MOD.
- Improved NDL planner to show '999+' instead of '--:--' when greater than 99:59.
- Improved surface interval to begin counting at the beginning of the End Dive Delay.
