Change History
Changes made from version 2.40 to 2.50:
- Removed the potential for shutdown when navigating a route with points placed close
to one another.
- Updated French translations.
Changes made from version 2.30 to 2.40:
- Corrected problem with Sight N Go shutdown.
Changes made from version 2.20 to 2.30:
- Added Indian grid support.
- Added distance in Yard support.
Changes made from version 2.13 to 2.20:
- Corrected problem that could potentially split tracklog into many small segments. The tracklog will still segment each time unit enters or leaves poor coverage and plot elevation points when it does not have a lock on satellites.
Changes made from version 2.12 to 2.13:
- Changed tracklog operation to break track line segments between power cycles.
Changes made from version 2.11 to 2.12:
- Corrected problem assigning the selected map datum.
- Changed operation to continue updating elevation related data when satellite reception has been lost.
Changes made from version 2.10 to 2.11:
- Added RT 90 position format.
- Corrected the output of the heading NMEA sentence.
Changes made from version 2.07 to 2.10:
- No visible change to consumers. Added software compatibility for alternative hardware configurations.
Changes made from version 2.06 to 2.07:
- Fixed distortion detection algorithm so that the 'HOLD LEVEL' message will work properly in high-declination areas of the world.
- Added Czech and Polish languages.
- Corrected some translations for the Dutch language.
- Prevented selecting Sight 'N Go option from the Compass page when the compass is not calibrated or if the unit does not have a good position fix.
- Corrected New Zealand position format selection.
- Changed UTC offset for the Moscow time zone to +3:00.
- Removed UTC and LCL labels from sunrise and sunset times.
- When selecting a route to follow, the first and last waypoint names, used to determine which direction to navigate, are displayed correctly for all languages.
Changes made from version 2.05 to 2.06:
- Added an Advanced Skyview mode on the GPS page that displays the location in the sky of each satellite that the unit is tracking. Along with this skyview is the signal strength for each satellite. To get to this new mode, press the ENTER key while on the GPS page. An option menu will appear. This option menu contains two items: SETUP DISPLAY and ADVANCED SKYVIEW. The SETUP DISPLAY option will take you to the Display Setup page for adjusting contrast and light controls. Selecting the ADVANCED SKYVIEW option will switch the GPS page to display the advanced skyview information.
- User now has the option to display the normalized pressure or local ambient pressure on the Elevation page cycle field. The option to switch between these displays is on the System Setup page. The normalized pressure is referenced against the last calibrated altitude or pressure and is not referenced against GPS altitude.
- Added multiple language support. From the System Setup page, you can select from 12 different languages.
- Fixed the save track bug that was introduced in version 2.05.
- Fixed the elevation profile of saved tracks to display the correct distance.
- Fixed Max/Min elevation recording.
Changes made from version 2.04 to 2.05:
- Allow display of speed and track when velocity is below 1.0 MPH and selective availability is off.
- Fixed altimeter Auto Calibration so that it can be turned off and on correctly.
- Fixed altimeter calibration problem where the new setting did not always get saved between power cycles.
- Fixed route leg distance calculation that occurred when the unit did not have a fix.
- Prevented rare occurrences of showing Compass heading when set to GPS only.
- Removed local pressure from the cycle field on the Elevation page because it was causing confusion.
- Added Vertical Speed to the cycle field on the Elevation page.
- When GPS and Compass are off, the Map page will no longer display invalid characters under the directional symbol.
- Fixed Dutch grid conversions and added new Dutch map datum to accompany the Dutch grid.
- The map datum list on the Units Setup page is now displayed alphabetically.
- Added an angle setup on the Units Setup page that allows you to display angles in Degrees or Mils.
Changes made from version 2.03 to 2.04:
- Improvements in positioning to fix erroneous track logs.
- Improved the arrival alarm.
- Changed the meter unit symbol from 'mt' to 'm' to be consistent with international standards.
Changes made from version 2.02 to 2.03:
- The UTC label is no longer displayed on the time when the UTC offset is zero.
- The user selected north reference offset is saved correctly.
- The restore defaults button on the units setup page saves the defaults correctly.
- Shortened the Australian grid abbreviations in the map datum list.
