"StreetPilot 2610 doesn't fail to amaze"
I wanted to thank your company for making such fabulous products over the past years. I have been using your StreetPilot line ever since the StreetPilot 3 and am currently using your 2610. I have always looked at Garmin products with the utmost prestige as your products continually shine over the competitors. I have used your products around the world, in such countries in Europe such as: Italy, Switzerland, Spain, France and Portugal. Your products never failed to amaze me even on the most congested roads, and in small remote towns in the middle of Italy. Residing in California, the 2610 gives me the confidence to know that wherever I may go, I can easily route back to home without asking for directions. I have, and I will continue to recommend your products to friends, family, and whomever because I know your products will not let anyone down. Once again, thank you in all honesty for making one of the best products I have ever owned.
Sincerely,
Allen

"Thirteen's the charm for this 2610 owner"
After owning 12 different Garmin® products for my boats and aircraft, the StreetPilot® 2610 is the best yet. You continue to amaze me with your new items. When I purchased the StreetPilot 2610, I expected another good product, but this thing continues to surpass all expectations.
Thanks,

"StreetPilot 2610 continues to amaze"
Garmin,
I don't usually write this kind of letter, but I thought I just had to pass on what a great product it is. I own a company that services steel cutting machinery, providing service to approximately 14 western states. Prior to the StreetPilot 2610, I used various map programs, which required time to enter, understand, and print results. Now, with the easy entry of information, I can bounce around various large cities, change direction for parts, etc., and I never have a feeling that I do not know (or the StreetPilot 2610 doesn't know) where I am. The voice is pleasant, and the correction of course (when I do other than the suggested course) is quick and easy.
It is not often that one can buy a product (even after investigating it prior to purchase), and then, after owning and using it, still be continually amazed.
Thank you for a well-designed and thought-out product.

"Ambulance driver recommends the 2610"
I have had the StreetPilot 2610 for a month now, and WOW, what a fabulous piece of equipment. If I'd had this 10 years ago in my ambulance, I would have never been lost going to a call. Every police and fire/ambulance vehicle should have this technology. It will save lives.

"Say goodbye to backseat drivers"
I'm a long-time GPS user (GPSMAP 76S for outside and StreetPilot 2610 replacing my GPS III in the car), and the StreetPilot 2610 unit is a needed option for any driver out there. The auto backlight adjustment with the easy-to-read screen makes any route easy to navigate. The auto recalculations are very helpful for those unexpected stops and turns. Finding an address on a busy street that's not in its database—no problem. The map page also shows street numbers. No more rear-ending cars while you're trying to figure out house numbers. Say goodbye to backseat drivers for good with the StreetPilot 2610.

"Car to car with the 2610"
Dear Garmin,
Bought the StreetPilot 2610, and I love it. It was so easy to set up and use. Even when not navigating, it is so cool to see the streets, etc., displayed on the unit. I now know the name of streets I never knew before. We have several cars, and it is so easy to take along in any car we choose to use. The bean-bag mount makes it a snap. Again, I love the 2610 and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great unit.

"The 2610 is the 'best aid to navigation since the compass'"
Dear Garmin,
The StreetPilot 2610 has proven to be one of the best aids to navigation since the compass! Although I purchased the 2610 for use in my business, which requires travel over several states, my wife (who is geographically challenged) has also found its simple, easy-to-use touchscreen a lifesaver in her daily trips around town. We have tested it in some of the most rural towns on Virginia's eastern shore, as well as in Washington, D.C. The maps are up to date, and the routes to selected waypoints are the ones we would've selected if we were using computer mapping programs. If you happen to get off course, it automatically recalculates the route in a quick, easy-to-follow voice. Parents, this is also great if you have young drivers taking trips out of town for the first time.

"StreetPilot 2610: Beating the competition"
Garmin,
I recently bought both the (competitor's product) and the Garmin StreetPilot 2610. Ended up keeping the Garmin. There is no competition. Garmin's audio, warnings, and quick rerouting are amazing. Garmin has a remote and easy, user-friendly screens.

"Cool Stuff!"
COOL STUFF!
I am beyond satisfied with my new 2610! I could not believe that such a small unit can be so powerful. The screen is just right in size and very clear. It was easy to figure out how to make it work...really a plus for people who get lost most of the time.

"Definitely worth the money"
Dear Garmin,
I purchased my 2610 three weeks ago and I love it. I am a service manager for a medical company and I cover the western United States. This unit has turned out to be invaluable. It has directed me to customer accounts, ATMs, Starbucks. It's definitely worth the money. I don't know how I ever lived without a GPS.

"Yukon Denali is sportin' the 2610"
I recently purchased a 2003 GMC Yukon Denali and wanted the navigation option. Unfortunately, it was a late 2003/2004 option, which wasn't available on the Denali I purchased. So I decided to look at after-market units that didn't require installation because of possible interference with the On-star and XM satellite radio options. I purchased the Garmin StreetPilot 2610 for these reasons:
- Ease of use and remote control and touch-screen features.
- Accuracy and voice command control.
- NO INSTALLATION. Just apply the permanent mount and plug 'n play.
- The price of the system in the Denali would have cost $2,500, and the vehicle had to come from the factory with the GPS radio installed.
- Downloadable maps from my PC via USB to the StreetPilot 2610.
I would like to thank Garmin for making my trips in my 2003 Yukon Denali pleasurable and safe.

Thank you for your response. Please feel free to use my name in relating my experience with the Garmin StreetPilot 2610. I have just used my StreetPilot on a trip to New Orleans this weekend and still enjoy all of its features, especially the touch screen, remote control, and the safe mode (which saves me from myself, lol).
Anyway, I look forward to seeing my review on your website.
Thank you,

"Love that 'Find' feature"
Dear Garmin:
I received my StreetPilot 2610 about a week ago and was totally amazed at the ease of use, accuracy and features. It is a fantastic product.
What totally blew my mind was the "Find" feature—being able to specify exactly what you want to find, down to the name. Once I find what I am looking for, not only is the address available, but also the telephone number is listed. With the telephone number, I can call ahead and make sure the business is open and has what I need.

"'You've done it again, Garmin!'"
You've done it again, Garmin!
I was the proud owner of the Garmin StreetPilot III for over 2 years. I am the firefighter/paramedic you posted testimonials from on the SP III. I loved that machine and didn't think things could get any better. Then I found and bought the 2610. This unit is just as good as the StreetPilot III, but is a much-improved, user-friendly GPS. The touchscreen and the remote make it so easy to use. The unit also calculates routes extremely fast! That makes a big difference in my job. Kudos! Thanks for another wonderful product!

"A little Florida vacation for this 2610"
Hey guys:
I love to drive, hate maps, and really hate not knowing where I'm going! Gotta tell ya, I just finished a trip from Struthers, OH to points all over the state of Florida. Palm Bay, Key West, Ft. Myers, Homosassa. I have 2 sisters, 3 aunts, and nephews, all at different locations in Florida. My Garmin 2610 took me right to their driveways. What a great product. All you have to do is take one trip with this product and believe me, you'll be smiling. Find hotels, restaurants, rest stops...and on and on. Best money I've ever spent. Thanks for a really great product. Also, downloading and updating software for my maps and GPS is a breeze on your website.

"2610 gets a German tour"
I'm in the U.S. military, and we were recently transferred to Stuttgart, Germany. For the first few months, my wife and I had a very difficult time reading maps and navigating the German roads both around town and when we ventured out for sightseeing—seems we always ended up in a fight when we missed our turn! I researched the GPS market thoroughly and decided on the StreetPilot 2610 with European MapSource data loaded onto a 1 GB CF card. THIS IS THE BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE! The 2610 is so easy to use and accurate that we take it virtually everywhere. My wife now has the confidence to go places during the day with our three home-schooled children. I even programmed maps for Sardinia, and we used it with a rental car on our vacation last month—it worked flawlessly! Thanks for making our Germany tour not only bearable, but also giving us the opportunity to get out and really tour Europe. I figure I've already saved enough money in marriage counseling fees alone to more than pay for the 2610!

Col R. M. sent us some further correspondence:
I've attached some pictures of our family vacation in Alghero, Sardinia. We used the unit in a rental car to tour the island. The mountaintop shots were taken above the "Grotto de Nettuno" (Neptune's Cave) located about 25 KM from Alghero. We used the 2610 to navigate all the twists and turns to get there.
Thanks again.

"Great job, Garmin"
Garmin,
Great job! I bought my 2610 when they were first shipped in September 2003, and it is fantastic. Very accurate and makes our trips to Vermont and Georgia very easy.

"Hammin' it up with the 2610"
Hello Garmin,
This is one of those products that is actually better than it appears. Many of my fellow Ham Radio club members have GPS units, and they are all StreetPilots. Several of the members are pilots. They recommended the 2610, and they were correct. I drive 30,000 to 50,000 miles per year, and this will be a godsend.
Thanks,

"Hanover and Berlin via the 2610"
Dear Garmin,
I purchased a Garmin StreetPilot 2610 in the U.K. the day before I flew to Germany for a whistle-stop tour taking in Hanover and Berlin. We had decided to hire a car due to the distance to be traveled, although neither I nor my colleague had any driving experience in that part of Germany.
Well, we needn't have worried. The 2610 was turn-perfect for the entire trip, which included a desperate rush through a dark, wet Berlin city centre to the airport. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. I scarcely had time to read the quick-start guide, let alone the full instructions, but the 2610 was simplicity itself to operate and was very easy to follow.
I have owned a number of Garmin products over the past few years and they have all proved to be accurate, resilient, and a pleasure to use.
Thank you for an excellent product.

"Hilda goes to Nashville"
I had been using a laptop with a USB-attached GPS. It worked really well but was a little bulky. My wife saw me one day looking at a StreetPilot III. She then surprised me at Christmas with the 2610. I have been like an eight year old with a new bike. This past weekend, we went to a wedding in Nashville, TN. While 140 miles away, we decided to go to a specific restaurant when we arrived in Nashville. I keyed in the name of the restaurant and Hilda (our name for the voice) took us to the front door. The other two couples were quite impressed. They could be a couple of satisfied users in the near future.

"Self-defense instructor loves his StreetPilot 2610"
Dear Garmin,
Thank you for this great machine. I am a self-defense instructor who drives around the D.C., VA, and MD metro areas all the time. I lost the count in how many times I got lost in these streets. Now, with my Garmin StreetPilot 2610, I let the friendly voice show me the correct way to my work sites. And I even find the shortcuts that save me time and gas.

"What a great piece of kit!"
Dear Garmin,
I have just purchased the StreetPilot 2610. What a great piece of kit! It was simple to set up and even simpler to use. Travelling as much as I do in this very crowded island, the 2610 is going to remove a lot of stress from general navigating and avoidance of the ever-increasing road works and accidents.
Well done, Garmin.

"Getting lost has never been so much fun!"
Dear Garmin,
I just recently purchased your new StreetPilot 2610 unit and I must say I'm very impressed! A few months back, I upgraded my BMW M3 with an (competitor's product) multimedia station that plays DVDs, CDs, XM radio, and can also be used for navigation from its built-in display. I figured great...down the road, I could add their navigation unit and have it all integrated in one package. Well, you could imagine my surprise when I looked into purchasing the unit to the tune of $1599.00. WOW!! I liked the whole idea of integration (so I thought at the time), but it was a little too steep in price for a unit that displays info from a 5-CD carousel mounted in the trunk of my car. A good friend of mine owns and highly recommended the StreetPilot III, which led me to the new 2610. I used it a few weeks ago for the first time on my 1200-mile trip to Florida, and I loved the ease of use and accuracy. Great product! Sorry (competitor), but satellite reception means no taking up room in my trunk, fumbling between CDs or costly upgrades. The best part is, I don't have to use one function exclusively as I would if it were all integrated into one. The separate unit allows me to use both at the same time. Getting lost has never been so much fun!
Thanks Garmin, and keep up the good work.

"Beats folding maps"
Dear Garmin,
Just received my 2610 this morning. I'm a first-time user of a GPS. The software install was very easy. Set out on my first journey approximately three hours after I unpacked my unit. I can't wait to use it next week on my vacation to Niagara Falls. The touchscreen is great. I haven't used the remote, but everything is perfect. The Garmin 2610 performs as advertised, and the price of the unit was very competitive and is, in most cases, cheaper than the competition.
Thanks Garmin. It sure beats reading and folding maps.
A VERY SATISFIED Customer.

"You folks at Garmin really nailed this thing"
Dear Garmin,
I have been an avid GPS user for the past three years and have turned several of my friends onto it. I bought a StreetPilot GPS originally and have been fairly satisfied with it for the last few years. It is great entertainment on the plane to see where you are at all times. It was way better than the other brands I had tried. It had some shortcomings in its lack of ability to route itself and its inability to look up addresses that were not within the MapSource quadrant that the GPS was in. I had learned to deal with that, but it always bothered me a little.
I received my StreetPilot 2610 about a week ago and WOW!!! It came ready to roll, right out of the box with a full unlock on the City Navigator software and a 128 meg flash card. I was able to load up everywhere I travel by plane (San Fran; L.A.; Portland, OR; Phoenix; Sacramento; San Jose; Denver; St. Louis) and my entire home state of Missouri and the better part of Kansas and Nebraska on this one card. The touchscreen is great and locating addresses is a snap. It was so easy to use. I didn't even have to read the manuals.
I can't find even one negative thing to say about the unit. The only bad thing is that I don't think I will ever be able to figure out an excuse to buy another GPS.
You folks at Garmin really nailed this thing. Way to go. It is awesome.

"Happy retirement with the StreetPilot 2610"
I have just retired and looked forward to travelling with my family. I require reading glasses, and it was always a hassle juggling a map. My spouse refused to go anywhere with me since, as navigator, the blame for getting us lost was never a question. The StreetPilot 2610 has saved our marriage and made for a very enjoyable retirement. Sometimes I try and get lost, but I have not yet been successful! I am not afraid to try the "road less traveled", which allows us to enjoy travelling much more than in the past.
Thanks.

"StreetPilot 2610 satisfies"
I purchased the Garmin StreetPilot 2610 a few months back and have been completely satisfied. When we are installing equipment on a rainy night and cannot see addresses, or we are camping, this is awesome and accurate.

"The 2610 passes the test"
Dear Garmin,
I just got my Garmin StreetPilot 2610 this past weekend and it works great! It is easy to use and figure out. I like the fact that I was able to test things out indoors with a simulated trip. I tried it once on a destination that I was familiar with and it worked well. Later that night (the night I got it), I had to go pick up a bed for a friend at a house that I had never been to before. It is GREAT for navigating at night. I don't have to worry about reading street signs. I did not look up anything on a map in advance. I simply got the address, punched it in, and relied on the StreetPilot 2610 to tell me where to go. Then, since the bed was on top of my car, I did not want to go onto the freeway. I simply chose the option to avoid highways and it found me a street-only route. It's great!

"The 2610: better than two tin cans and a string"
Last summer, my wife and I started to do more traveling. I had mentioned about how nice it would be to have a GPS. My father lives by his StreetPilot III. At Christmas, she surprised me with the StreetPilot 2610. I was stunned.
I was hoping for a very cheap one that involved 2 cans and a very long string. We tested it by driving out to her grandmother's grave. This is about 75 miles away in another city where I always get lost. The 2610 found what we were looking for, PLUS a seafood restaurant, PLUS the local Wal-Mart. My wife operated the touchscreen and was very pleased (the VCR still confuses her). She kept saying, "Wow, it's like magic. How does it know where we are?" I haven't answered her yet 'cause I can't stop smiling.
If my wife can figure this thing out, with me not yelling at her, "You're doing it wrong!", anyone can use this wonderful adult toy. I bought one of those microdrives to store the maps on. We can't wait to load up the camper and hit the road next spring. You can spot us as the couple that isn't pulled over on the side of the road arguing over a road map.
Thanks Garmin!

"'I wish other products always worked as well as yours'"
Folks,
I just purchased my fourth Garmin GPS, which is a 2610. This is a wonderful product and, as usual, I took it from the box, installed software, and it worked exactly as advertised. I wish other products always worked as well as yours. All four of my GPS units have been trouble-free. This includes a GPS 38, a GPS III, and a GPS V. Thanks for producing such fine products.

"My Porsche 911 and my StreetPilot® 2610 get along just fine"
Greetings,
Wow! The StreetPilot 2610 is an exceptional product.
I bought a Porsche 911 in California a few weeks ago and drove it cross-country to my home near Atlanta, Georgia. Early in the trip home, I regretted that I had not purchased the Porsche navigation system. So I stopped at a Circuit City to see what was available after-market and bought the 2610. I quickly and easily set it up while sitting in my new car, and was on my way in 30 minutes. The unit was wonderful on the remaining portion of my trip—over 2,000 miles—and helped me locate fun stuff and hotels along the way. The remote control is essential and makes operation quick and easy, but the touch screen is really fun. I did buy a larger CF card (1 GB) and can now store most of the U.S. where I travel (not in the new car, but by plane and rental car), so I can easily move the 2610 between vehicles.
I highly recommend the Garmin StreetPilot 2610. It is very cool, very helpful, and a heck of a lot of fun to use.

"What a breakthrough!"
Dear Garmin,
I can’t say enough about the StreetPilot 2610. What a breakthrough!
The ease of set-up…and everything works the first time. Software updates are perfect and easy to install. Support is excellent, and so is the service. As an owner of the original StreetPilot and then a GPS V, I find this (unit) the best yet.
Keep up the excellent work, and thank you for making such a perfect product.

"Golfer’s delight"
Dear Garmin,
I just bought the new StreetPilot 2610 and I just love it! I will never be lost again! It keeps me on time for all my golf times, since I am never lost! I can take it from one car to the other and on vacation...great! It finds all the golf courses in states that I am unfamiliar with and all the restaurants. Who could ask for anything more? It was well worth the money!

"Lucky StreetPilot 2610 gets a nice ride"
Dear Garmin,
I just purchased the new StreetPilot 2610. It is truly an exceptional product. Better than advertised! It's easy to set up and use. The touch screen and remote functions are a clear step above the competition. The portability from car to car further enhances its value. I was considering a $2000 option on my Mercedes ML320 and gleefully found the StreetPilot at half the price and twice the satisfaction.
