POI Loader
POI Loader is free software for your computer that lets you upload customized points of interest (POIs) to your compatible Garmin device. With the help of POI Loader, you can update your compatible Garmin GPS with the latest restaurants, safety camera locations, tourist destinations and more.

How Does POI Loader Work?
Simply download and install POI Loader software on your computer and you're ready to find and load new POIs. You can find new POIs from both Garmin and third parties through our Custom POI Sources page. Once you've downloaded the POI files (GPX or CSV format), use POI Loader to find the files on your computer and upload the data to your compatible Garmin GPS or third-party SD card.

Proximity Alerts
POI Loader allows you to configure proximity alerts — when you're within a certain distance of a POI or driving over a certain speed near a POI, your GPS will provide visual and audio alerts — perfect to warn you about upcoming school zones, red lights, and safety cameras. Garmin TourGuide®
Garmin TourGuide POIs allow you to use your compatible Garmin GPS* as your own personal electronic tour guide. When you pass by a TourGuide POI, an MP3 file automatically begins to play—perfect for bus tours, historical sites, real estate sales and more. You can find TourGuide POIs on our TourGuide Data Sources page.
* Garmin TourGuide POIs are currently compatible with any mp3-compatible nuvi, all zumo models and the StreetPilot c550, 2730, 2820, 7200 and 7500.
Creating TourGuide POIs
