"GNS 430 proves its value"

The value of the GNS 430 was proved to me the other day in spades. I was coming back to my home base of Gary, IN (GYY) when I lost my Turn Coordinator, Attitude Indicator, and Heading Indicator (HSI), all at the same time, and about 100 miles from the airport (at 16,000 feet). The only instruments I had to keep the airplane on course and level were the altimeter/vsi and the GPS. It was an easy task to follow my course (and turn in the right direction) by simply following the lovely purple line. The altimeter/vsi kept me level and descending at the appropriate rate.

Thanks.

"The GNS 430 does a little stunt flying"

I wanted to let you know the Garmin GNS 430 has raised my IFR IQ to the next level of situational awareness and safety. Currently I teach aerobatics with my Cessna 150 Aerobat. After installing the Garmin 430, Garmin 340, and Garmin 106-A, I am preparing to give Garmin 430 instrument instruction in addition to Aerobatic training.

The 430 is fantastic. Thanks for the technology.

Best Regards,

"Still finding new features"

I just purchased my fourth plane with a GPS, but this is my first Garmin. I have a new A-36 with the Garmin 530 and 430 as a standard package. I have had eight or so flights now and every time I fly, I find a new feature with your GPS. I just wanted you to know that I have almost 3,000 hours and 35 years of flying and your GPS is the most useful, user-friendly instrument I have ever used. I thought my (competitor's product) was very useful and I was a little upset that my new plane did not have one. I did not know much about Garmin units, but I am very pleased. Your units have reduced my workload, increased my situational awareness, and made useful information effortlessly available.

Thank you,

J. S.

"Dual 430's for his Bonanza"

I have owned a 1963 P-35 Beechcraft Bonanza since 1990. I have recently updated the avionics with a Garmin MX20 and dual Garmin 430's. I removed a (competitor's product) and the Garmins are far easier to use and a much better GPS. They are very intuitive and took less than one tenth the time to learn compared to the (competitor's product).

"GNS 430 does it all in a '182'"

I recently installed the GNS 430 in my 1973 (Cessna) "182". It is by far the best thing I have done. This thing does everything but ask you if you'd like peanuts or an in-flight beverage.

Thanks for a great product.

"We've come a long way"

I'm Roger from Yerington, Nevada. I worked on the RV (Re-entry Vehicle) heat shield for pre-Apollo missions with AVCO (1960s) and with Sanders Associates on Apollo Eleven. We built the laser reflector and portions of the LSS (Life Support System) for Apollo. I've also done some testing for Military Loran C as well. Wow, we've certainly come a long ways, haven't we? The GNS 430 is a long ways from what we saw with the Motorola 2N2222 transistor. Keep on navigating!
