"Garmin® TAP member thanks his Fishfinder
240"
Dear Garmin,
Thought you might like to know how one of your anglers did in a recent tournament here in
Austin, TX. My partner and I competed in the 10th Annual
Bass Festival open bass team tournament on Lake Travis. Two hundred
teams competed
in
a one-day event. The fishing was great, but catching a limit
of five, 14-inch keepers was tough. We placed 15th with a three-keeper
weight of
7.41 pounds. That was enough to cash a check for $175.00 dollars.
Thanks to my Garmin Fishfinder 240 unit, I was able to locate
a huge school of
fish in the Colorado River Arm of Lake Travis during practice.
It really helped us do well in the tournament.
Thanks again.

Caught the limit and set a record with
the Fishfinder 240
I own two Garmin Fishfinder 240s. They helped me locate a regional
record five bass limit totaling 30.65 pounds! I really trust my
electronics. They also helped me become the North Carolina State
Bass Champion! Thanks again.

Editors note:
We contacted Steve to find out more about his experiences with
the Fishfinder 240. Heres what he had to say:
Ive been competing in fishing tournaments in North
Carolina and throughout the southeast for about 10 years. Ive
had my Garmin fishfinders for about two years. One's mounted
on the front of the boat, and the other is on the console.
What I like best about my 240 is how it performs when Im
fishing deep. I can mark a brush pile and see the fish through
the brush and the thermocline. Thats critical when youre
fishing in the summer and winter. And thats where the
240s difference in quality and price really pays off.
Compared to other units, the Fishfinder 240 has really high
definition. You can see the fish no matter what cover theyre
in; you can actually see the balls of shad.
I think the 240 is a good value for what you get. Ive
probably sold a lot of Garmins to my friends and other anglers,
because when they ask me what to buy, I naturally tell them
to go with Garmin.
"Fishfinder 240 and eTrex® find the best fishing
spots"
I have been fishing on my home lake more than 15 years now,
and I guess I don't know it as well as I thought. I heard of the
rebate offer for the Fishfinder 240, so I got one, took it out
on the boat, just playing around a little bit, and I came across
what looked to be an old underwater bridge. I said "what the heck,"
so I started to fish it. It was the very best day I ever had on
the lake (lots of fish). The next day I wanted to repeat it. I
spent over 10 hours and two tanks of fuel looking for that spot.
I never did find it again. After seeing the new eTrex, I got one.
I was able to find the spot once again. Now anytime I want, I
just go right to that spot. Thanks for making me a better fisherman.
