Your Honda Portable Navigation system is installed in a customized mount built especially for the Honda CR-V and Fit. The dealer-installed mount places the unit within easy reach, and it's easily removable — so when you're ready to travel on foot, you can carry it with you.
Your Honda Portable Navigation System comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator® NT street maps, including a hefty points of interest (POIs) database with hotels, restaurants, fuel, ATMs and more. Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and the navigator takes you there with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. It even announces the name of exits and streets so you never have to take your eyes off the road. In addition, the navigator accepts custom points of interest (POIs), such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs.
Navigation is just the beginning. Your Honda Portable Navigation System includes many “must have” entertainment and travel tools including MP3 player, audio book player (subscription to Audible.com required), JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. It also comes with Garmin Lock™, an anti-theft feature, and configurable vehicle icons that let you select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map. Optional software on plug-and-play SD cards for language translation, detailed travel guide and SaversGuide® allow you to customize your navigator for your travel needs.

A: The Honda Portable Navigation (HPN) has an exclusive mounting method for Honda Fit & CR-V with integrated wiring, Customized Honda Dealership POI's, Safe Mode disabling Travel Kit & Settings if unit is in motion greater than 5 mph, and the full Honda accessory 3-year / 36,000 mile warranty when installed at the time you purchase your new Honda vehicle.
