Introduces High-Performance GPS Modules at Low-End Prices
OLATHE, Kan.

a unit of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), today announced that the
company has introduced the GPS 15™ a family of high-performance
sensor boards that provide GPS position, velocity and time information
for various original equipment manufacturer (OEM) applications,
such as vehicle tracking.
Available
in three models, the GPS 15 line will compliment the GPS 25 in
Garmin's OEM sensor board lineup. The GPS 15 family is smaller,
lighter, less expensive, and consumes less power, but offer the
same quality GPS performance that has defined Garmin as an industry
leader.

We started delivering the GPS 15 in volume earlier this month

Roughly the
size of a commemorative stamp, the GPS 15 weighs only 10 grams
and offers CMOS interface. The GPS 15L and GPS 15H, weigh approximately
15 grams, measure about the size of a matchbook, and are 3.3-5V
and 8-40V modules, respectively. Both offer one pulse per second
timing, an RS-232 interface and WAAS capability.
