Aircraft Selects Garmin® as Avionics Provider for AG-5B
OLATHE, Kan.
Garmin International, the leading avionics manufacturer
for the general aviation industry, is pleased to announce a new
agreement with Martinsburg, W.V.-based Tiger Aircraft LLC. The
airplane manufacturer will offer Garmin's complete avionics stack
as standard equipment on its single-engine, bonded aluminum Tiger
AG-5B aircraft. The agreement was finalized at this year's Sun
'N Fun Fly-In in Lakeland, Fla.
"The selection
of Garmin's state-of-the-art IFR stack as standard equipment in
the Tiger AG-5B will serve as the ultimate package for a new generation
of Tiger pilots," said Gary Kelley, director of marketing, Garmin
International. "We are pleased to be working with this new company
and proven aircraft."
According
to the agreement, Tiger AG 5-B's will soon be equipped with dual
GNS 430's - an integrated
IFR GPS/Comm with VOR, LOC and glideslope, which also contains
a color moving map on a four-inch, diagonal display. Garmin's
430 also interfaces with Skywatch traffic advisory system, Echo
Flight weather datalink, WX500 StormscopeÆ and Ryan TCAD.
Garmin's GMA 340 audio
panel, GTX™ 327 digital
transponder and GI 106A course deviation indicator are
also included in the standard configuration.
Garmin-equipped
Tiger AG-5B's are scheduled to deliver by the end of 2000.
