Garmin® Introduces Fishfinder 300C for Inland Anglers
OLATHE, Kan./November 12, 2007/PR Newswire — Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), today announced the debut of the Fishfinder 300C, a high-performance analog sonar that’s perfect for the budget-conscious freshwater fisherman looking to upgrade to a vivid color unit.
“We expect the Fishfinder 300C to become the workhorse of the weekend warrior,” said Garmin’s Dan Bartel, vice president of worldwide sales. “It’s compact and sleek enough to fit on any size bass boat, yet it sports a great-looking display and Garmin’s new streamlined interface.”
The Fishfinder 300C has a sunlight readable 3.5-inch TFT QVGA display (320 x 240 pixels) and a dual beam transducer (14/45 degrees at 200kHz/80kHz) with a power output of 150 watts (RMS) and 1200 watts (peak to peak) and can find bottom up to 900 feet deep. The unit has more fish-catching features like UltraScroll™ for extremely rapid screen updates, a water temperature log, round flasher display mode, and 2x and 4x automatic and manual zoom scales.
In addition, the Fishfinder 300C features Garmin’s completely redesigned user interface that lets boaters intuitively see and select the information they want, while eliminating the clutter they don’t – all with fewer button pushes. The Fishfinder 300C features a sophisticated and elegant “flat-screen” physical design that complements today’s modern boats. The unit can be either bail mounted or flush-mounted from the front, with mounting screws hidden behind removable front tabs.
The Fishfinder 300 will be available in January 2008 for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $249.99. Visit www.garmin.com for more information.
