Garmin® Names New Manager of Investor Relations
CAYMAN ISLANDS / October 2, 2002 / PR Newswire — Garmin
Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN) is pleased to announce the appointment of
Paulette M. Schwerdt as Manager of Investor Relations, effective
Sept. 16, 2002. Ms. Schwerdt will report to Kevin Rauckman, chief
financial officer and treasurer of Garmin Ltd., and will be responsible
for Garmin's overall investor relations program and other
financial duties for the company. She replaces John Mills, who
is no longer with the company.
Prior to joining Garmin, Schwerdt was a research analyst/vice
president for Kornitzer Capital Management in Shawnee Mission,
Kan. She also worked for over 20 years at the Security Benefit
Group of Companies in Topeka, Kan., in various management and
professional positions. Paulette earned her B.B.A. in finance
and management and her M.B.A. from Washburn University in Topeka.

financial expertise will provide Garmin with the proper mix of
skills needed to serve the investor relations function,"
