Garmin® NAMES NEW INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COUNSEL
OLATHE, Kan. / Feb. 2 / PRNewswire / - Garmin International Inc.,
a unit of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), is pleased to announce the
appointment of Devon A. Rolf as Assistant General Counsel - Intellectual
Property, effective Feb. 5, 2001. Mr. Rolf will report to Andrew
R. Etkind, Garmin's general counsel, and will be responsible for
managing intellectual property matters, developing patent strategies
and preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent and trademark
applications.
Prior to joining Garmin, Rolf was a partner in the intellectual
property department of Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, a Kansas
City-based national law firm with more than 500 lawyers. He earned
his Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a J.D. degree from
the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and is a
registered patent attorney.
