14/PR Newswire Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin
Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN) and the leading avionics manufacturer for
the general aviation market, today announced that Cessna Aircraft
Co. will offer Garmin's integrated avionics suite as optional
equipment in its entire line of Caravan aircraft.

aboard the Cessna Caravan is a strong product endorsement and
represents a significant step for us with this industry leader,"
said Gary Kelley, Garmin's director of marketing. "This
relationship has the potential of opening up a new area of growth
for us in the air cargo and commuter transportation market."
At the heart
of the Garmin avionics suite is the revolutionary GNS 430/530.
Both radios integrate an IFR GPS/NAV/COM/ILS with VOR/LOC and
glideslope on a high-resolution color display, delivering navigation-critical
data on a single screen for easy pilot scanning and reduced cockpit
workload. Both units also have interface capabilities for traffic,
weather and lightning detection to provide increased safety and
situational awareness to the owner and operator of the aircraft.
The GTX 327 is a Mode-C transponder that displays flight time
and current pressure altitude, and its solid-state design requires
no warm-up time, reduces power output and lowers heat emissions.
The GMA 340 audio panel provides pilots with reliable, versatile
audio switching on a user-friendly front panel, featuring a six-position
stereo intercom and three COM positions.
